Dates: Tuesdays, 11/12, 12/10, 1/14, 2/11, 3/11, 4/8 Time: 7:00 pm Location: Temple Israel In-person with optional virtual access One of the core principles of Mussar is that each of us has a task in this world: to become the best version of ourselves that we can be. The Mussar teachers tell us that we do that best by putting into practice what we have learned about ourselves as we incorporate the lessons taught by this centuries old Jewish ethical tradition. We will engage with the insights of R. Shalom Wolbe (1914-2005) using his classic text Alei Shur as we strengthen the bonds of our community and engage with the world outside of the classroom. These are the Middot (soul traits) we will incorporate: truth, equanimity, alacrity, honor, humility and gratitude. This course is free and open to all but we suggest an online donation of $54 directly to the Mussar Institute in honor of Temple Israel for use of their materials and guidance.
